Hamilton Co. has introduced the Microlab 300 Series Pipettor, the first guided pipetting system that brings the assurance of an automated liquid handling system into the hands of laboratory technicians without complex programming. The pipettor goes beyond programming common pipetting operations like reverse pipetting and aliquoting; it enables technicians to create, save, and execute complete pipetting applications, achieving reliability through reproducible and traceable methods.
The system's user-friendly software allows users to adjust pipetting parameters for liquid handling of challenging liquids. Through validated ClickSure tips and Liquid Classes, the instrument delivers optimal pipetting accuracy by enabling users to fine-tune pipetting speeds and delays for each liquid used.
The design of the system replaces the three to four manual or electronic pipettes and tip sizes required for pipetting with one, lightweight disposable tip hand probe and two ClickSure tip sizes. In addition, the digital volume and speed adjustment reduces sample preparation time by eliminating manual adjustment as well as pipette exchange steps.
