Supercritical Fluid Technologies has introduced a line of stirred reactors for high-pressure chemistry. The HPR-Series reactors are designed for researchers interested in performing pressurized chemical reactions in their laboratories.
The reactors range in size from 50 mL to 4 L and may be operated up to 10,000 psi and 350 C. Each reactor has a built-in mixer with a magnetically coupled impeller for optimal combining conditions. The reactors are compact and can be operated in a fume hood. Functions for the HPR-Series reactor are controlled by choices of three integrated RxTrol processors. The RxTrol Sr. offers advanced features using a microcontroller to perform PID, ramp/soak, process trending, data acquisition, mixing, and interlock functions. The RxTrol Jr. consists of two temperature sensors, and fuzzy logic PID temperature and mixing controls in a tabletop assembly. The RxTrol B consists of two temperature sensors and an open-loop mixer speed control through 0 to 100% power output knob.
