Raman Microspectroscopy

Mon, 10/01/2012 - 5:34am

Craic ApolloCraic Technologies has announced the addition of Raman microspectroscopy capabilities to its 20/20 Perfect Vision microspectrophotometer. Users of the 20/20 PV can now acquire Raman spectra, with lasers from the blue to the near infrared, in addition to UV-visible-NIR absorbance, reflectance, fluorescence, and emission microspectra. The instrument is able to acquire these types of spectra of sub-micron samples. The instrument also features the ability to acquire images of these same microscopic sample in the UV, visible, and NIR regions.

The 20/20 PV microspectrophotometer is a self-contained unit that features advanced UV-visible-NIR light sources, solid-state lasers, true UV-visible-NIR microscope, sensitive UV-visible-NIR range spectrometers, and Minerva spectral software. Raman microspectroscopy is added with the Apollo Raman microspectroscopy packages. Each Apollo is a self-contained package including laser, spectrometer, and hardware; and multiple Apollo units with different lasers may be combined on the 20/20 PV.
