The nXDS dry scroll vacuum pumps from Edwards are designed for scientific, laboratory, and research and development applications. The oil-free pumps use no lubricants in the vacuum. An advanced scroll design and tip-seal technology provide the pumps with a long lifetime; tip seals may last up to 5 years and can be replaced in less than 10 min in the field using basic tools.

The pumps feature intelligent control functions. Control modes include serial, USB, remote parallel, and analog, as well as manual operation with up/down buttons. The full serial communications mode provides feedback about the state of the pump and assists with preventative maintenance. A light on the control panel indicates when service is needed.

The pumps operate at 52 dBa. A standby mode reduces power consumption.
