In environment chemistry, the chemical oxygen demand (COD) test is commonly used to indirectly measure the amount of organic compounds in water. JM Science has introduced the Model HC-607 quick COD analyzer that provides fast, accurate analyses and is easy to use with coulometric titration. A revision of the electrode material frees the user from performing multiple blank measurements and speeds up and stabilizes measurement operations. There is greater efficiency and smoother operation from the sliding electrode holder. Electrode mounting and dismounting is simpler, safer and more reliable. The countdown time notifies the user that oxidation is nearing completion, in addition to a bell signaling completion, releasing the user from attending the process. Colored samples don’t present a problem when using coulometric titration. A secondary differential is provided for the detection of the titration endpoint for high-precision measurements. The analyzer is easy to use with an easy-to-read control panel, touch key input and dialog interface.
