Metrohm's combustion ion chromatograph automates the determination of halogens and sulfur in fuels, lubricants, additives, polymers, catalysts, and more. The flame sensor technology measures the intensity of light from the pyrolysis oven during combustion, controls the free rate of the sample boat, and prevents soot formation. Different matrices and sample quantities are automatically combusted by one universal method—prior knowledge about the sample is unnecessary. This method surpasses offline digestion by providing better sample throughput, accuracy, and precision. The system's two-in-one autosampler can run both solid and liquid samples by changing the sample head.
