The first MIQE qPCR app, sponsored by Bio-Rad Laboratories Inc., provides researchers with resources and checklists needed to ensure MIQE (Minimum Information for Publication of Quantitative Real-Time PCR Experiments) compliance for qPCR experiments.

Developed by real-time PCR (qPCR) experts Michael W. Pfaffl, Munich Technical University, and Afif Abdel Nour, LaSalle Beauvais Polytechnic Institute, the MIQE qPCR app helps researchers achieve accuracy, transparency, and reproducibility in the qPCR experiments. Users can monitor MIQE compliance, and get expert advice.

Users can monitor MIQE compliance through color-coded checklists that distinguish between essential and desirable MIQE requirements; a visual indication of progress is provided. They can also get expert advice by linking directly to MIQE-related publications or direct qPCR- or MIQE-related questions to the experts listed through email. Users also can send completed project checklists to the worldwide MIQE guideline database where the information will be used to further refine the MIQE guidelines.
