Pfeiffer Vacuum offers the MiniTest 300, a vacuum leak detector with quartz window technology. With the device, helium is not detected as it usually is with a mass spectrometer but with a quartz window sensor.
The MiniTest 300 is lightweight (11 lbs) and operates at a working pressure of up to 200 mbar, without required additional pressure reduction. The detection limit of 5 x 10-7 mbar l/s (with a pumping speed of 1 l/s of the system pump) enables the instrument's use for leak detection in many industrial applications.
The detector features two different leak detection functions. An existing leak is located quickly when in search mode, the qualitative leak detection mode. If, in addition to the localization, the size value of the leak is also needed, the measuring mode—the quantitative leak detection mode—must be used. All measurement data can be saved in the detector's remote-control system and stored on a USB stick.
