Viscosity Standards Come with Expiration Date
Best industry practice recommends that calibration materials be replaced on a scheduled basis. In response to customer input, Brookfield has now added an expiration date to their silicone viscosity standard used to perform calibration checks on viscometers and rheometers. This information appears on the jar label, as well as on the certificate of calibration that comes with the fluid. Laboratory managers will now have a firm date for reordering replacement fluids.
Silicone Viscosity Standards provide operators with a convenient, reliable way to verify the calibration of their Brookfield rotational viscometer/rheometers. They are accurate to +/- 1% and offer temperature stability. They are Newtonian and are available in either silicone or oil. Special viscosity values and temperature calibrations are available upon request.
