Andor CCD cameras on display at Photonics West
Andor's new CCD platform is the iKon-L, which is designed for astronomy, luminescence imaging and biochip imaging. The device features a 2,048 x 2,048 array and 13.5 µm square pixels and will cool to -100°C without liquid nitrogen. Also on display is its newest EMCCD for fluorescence microscopy, the LucaEM R, which features a 1 MP sensor and 8 x 8 mm pixels. Continue...
New large-angle mirror platforms extend PI's beam steering line
Physik Instrumente LP has broadened the S-330 high-dynamics piezo tip/tilt platform family by introducing six closed loop and open loop models for mirrors up to 50 mm dia, optical beam deflection to 20 mrad, and parallel-kinematics design. The single pivot-point design prevents polarization rotation, and step response is in the sub-ms range. Continue... |
