Even before the 2012 R&D 100 Awards were formally presented in Orlando on Nov. 1, R&D Magazine’s editors were accepting entries for the 2013 Awards. If you or your organization is planning to enter, don’t worry, there’s plenty of time to prepare the entry form: the official deadline is March 29, 2013.
However, the editors like to encourage participants who are first time competitors, or who have an unusual entry, to send in their Entry Form early so that we can give it a preliminary review. The editors have read and compared thousands of entries over the years, and their advice on how what makes the best presentation for judges can be helpful for some participants.
After review, the entry will be returned to the sender, by Dec. 15, 2012, with a series of recommendations for improving or clarifying the entry. In some cases, the Early Bird review is crucial to determining whether the entry should be filed in a future Awards competition, or whether the product needs further development before it can be considered to be competitive.
The deadline for this Early Bird consideration is this Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012. Please note that we cannot offer a full review for any entries filed past this date, so please contact us if you have questions prior to the Early Bird deadline by email firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 973-920-7032.
Check www.rd100awards.com for updates and guidance on how to enter and we look forward to your interest in the 2013 R&D Awards.
