Hiden Analytical has published their latest brochure which describes the HPR-40 Membrane Inlet Mass Spectrometer (MIMS) system for measurement of dissolved gaseous species in aqueous solution. The brochure outlines features and specifications of the instrument together with an overview of the HPR-40 methodology and application areas.
The Hiden HPR-40 uses a semi-permeable membrane to isolate the mass spectrometer from the aqueous media and preferentially transmit the dissolved gases and organic vapors for analysis, simultaneously and continuously measuring multiple species in real-time. Sampling options comprise a range of circular carrier interfaces for flow-through operation and of capillary-style probes for direct insertion into the media. The Hiden HPR-40 addresses a broad range of applications including soil core analysis, water analysis, groundwater contamination studies, and environmental monitoring.
