Oil and Gas CapabilitiesAmerican Sensor Technologies, Inc. (AST) has released a ten page booklet outlining their pressure and position transmitter capabilities for the Energy, Oil and Gas Industry. The booklet focuses on five categories of applications within the energy sector, including extraction, off-shore drilling and sub sea, pipeline monitoring, storage tanks, and gas compression. Each category then highlights the distinct advantages to using pressure and position measurement transmitters, the common applications, and how AST’s technology applies. Sensors and transmitters are increasing in use over local gauges and displays in order to reduce overall costs, minimize the need for site visits, and create a central location for site performance. Sensors and transmitters also monitor trends and allow for equipment adjustments without the use of a technician. Customer application photos also help the reader to visualize the use of the products in each application.

The Energy, Oil and Gas Capabilities booklet has a breakdown of the AST products, their UL, CSA, and Cnex approvals for use across North American and Asia, including explosion-proof, non-incendive, and intrinsically safe areas. AST will also be expanding its product line with the addition of ATEX to support European and Middle-Eastern markets.
