With low mold production costs, relatively low per-part costs, and quick turnaround times, Graphicast’s graphite mold casting process is a low-risk solution for the manufacture of high-precision components in uncertain economic times. Graphicast’s process produces castings of ZA-12, a durable zinc-aluminum alloy, at a lower total cost per part than machining or other casting processes for annual production quantities of 200 to 20,000 parts.

Graphicast’s single-source production capabilities include in-house design services, rapid prototyping, mold production, net-shape casting, secondary machining, and finishing. With typical turnaround times—from finished CAD design to production samples—of four to six weeks, the process can shorten time-to-market.
