IDL Release 6.4 Announced by ITT Visual Information

ITT Visual Information Solutions announced the release of IDL 6.4 software, the latest version of its premier data visualization and analysis environment. IDL 6.4 provides new data transfer utilities that improve the ability for users to quickly and easily access a wide variety of data. With IDL 6.4, IDL users can receive data from remote servers and write data files to a disk at a remote location using the most common protocols, such as HTTP and FTP. In addition, IDL 6.4 introduces support that allows IDL users to query and retrieve remote data from Open Geospatial Consortium geodatabases directly from within IDL.
