Automated Imaging

LabSmith, Inc. announces the release of its SVM340 Synchronized Video Microscope for microfluidics and microbiology research. Designed and priced for use by individual researchers, this inverted fluorescence/ dark-field microscope captures, stores, and replays still images and video, with flexibility and features exceeding those of larger, more expensive microscopes.

The SVM340 provides 75mm x 50mm scanning, with 3-axis motorized traverse, in a compact, benchtop package. Its optics and illuminator travel below a motionless sample stage, ensuring that micro-systems remain unperturbed. Programmable stage locations make it easy to recall and image multiple viewing sites.

The LabSmith SVM340 is field upgradeable, with one-click firmware and software upgrades for the latest features and capabilities. Standard composite and S-video analog outputs, and USB and RS232 digital ports, simplify electronic interfacing. LabView and the included software developers’ kit can be employed to fully automate focus, traverse and other functions.
