Actiontec Electronics announced today that four of its products have been honored in the 2009 Communications Solutions Product of the Year Award from Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC). This prestigious award acknowledges the most innovative products that facilitate voice, data and/or video communications. With wins for four products, Actiontec garnered the greatest number of awards from any single company.

In TMC's official announcement, Erik Linask, Group Editorial Director for TMC, said, "The Product of the Year Award represents companies who have produced the best this industry has to offer. With hundreds of applications this year, judging the products and services was difficult. However, the selected winners have demonstrated a commitment to quality and excellence for the development of the communications industry."

Actiontec's four winning products are:

V1000 Wireless N VDSL Modem Router: represents one of the most powerful DSL routers ever built. This triple-play VDSL/ADSL2+ wireless gateway boasts a powerful wireless N radio, gigabit Ethernet switch, a dual core 64-bit processor, 32 MB Flash, and 64 MB SDRAM.

V1000H Wireless N VDSL Modem Router: a residential powerhouse that packs in a wireless N radio, Gigabit Ethernet switch and WAN port, and support for HPNA (LAN and WAN). The V1000H is among the first modems to support HPNA 3.1 on both the WAN (carrier) and LAN (home networking) side.

PK5000 802.11g Wireless DSL Modem Router: The PK5000 combines a full-rate ADSL/ADSL2+ modem, 4 port Ethernet switch, and 802.11g wireless router into a compact device that helps DSL consumers reduce clutter and lower costs in the home network.

200 Mbps MegaPlug AV 4-Port Switch: a 4-port powerline switch that instantly turns any electrical outlet in the home into a high-speed Internet connection with speeds up to 200 Mbps. With four built-in ports, the new switch allows more devices to take advantage of the high-performance powerline network simultaneously.

"We're honored to have been recognized not just once, but four times in the Communications Solutions Product of the Year award," said Brian Henrichs, chief business development officer at Actiontec Electronics. "This is a fantastic achievement for our entire team and reflects our commitment to driving the broadband experience forward through innovative, high quality solutions."
