The International Center for Autism Research and Education (Icare4autism) is putting the finishing touches on their gala, to be held in Tampa, at the Florida Aquarium. The Icare4autism2010: Cocktail Gala will be held from 6pm-10pm on the evening of Thursday, April 15th and is hosted by Miss USA Kristen Dalton. Tampa Bay's 93.3 FLZ will be broadcasting from the event. 100s of door prizes will be given out to attendees.

The gala is expected to attract approximately 1,000sof attendees to the Florida Aquarium for an altruistic evening of memories. Most importantly, the event will raise awareness and funds for Autism Research and Education for the neurological disorder that affects 1 in 91 children, 1 in 58 boys. These numbers are up 59% since 2002.

The event will also feature a luxury auction. Some auction items include: Memorabilia from Taylor Swift, the cast of Twilight and Heath Ledger. Attendees can also bid on an official helmet autographed by Drew Brees and a wide assortment of collectible sports items. Also up for grabs is a private tour of Yankee stadium and exclusive tickets to U2's July 9th concert in Miami, Florida.

Founder and President Joshua Weinstein says, "By attending this event, the residents of the Tampa Bay area have the opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of 1 in 91 children."

Presidor, Johnny Love Vodka, Raymond James Financial and Century Buick-GMC of Tampa are the key sponsors the event.

Three "Autism Impact Awards" will be given out to those whom have played an instrumental role in autism the Tampa Bay Area. Organizational Award Nominees include: Behavioral Consulting of Tampa Bay, Beyond the Spectrum, Central for Autism & Related Disabilities at the University of South Florida, Mane Center for Non-Surgical Solutions, Florida Autism Center of Excellence, Pinnacle Academy and Sydney's School For Autism.

Individual Nominees include: Dr. Nelson Mane of the Mane Center for Non-Surgical Solutions, Kelley Prince of Behavioral Consulting of Tampa Bay and 12-year-old Reno Williams, who is a public speaker and author with autism.

Discounted General Admission tickets are available. Enter the code word "care" and receive tickets for the low price of $50.00, instead of the original $75.00.
