Alliant Techsystems elects Tig Krekel director

Alliant Techsystems Inc. said Tig Krekel, a partner at a New York private-equity investment bank and former aerospace executive, has been elected to its board of directors.

Krekel is vice chairman and partner at J.F. Lehman & Co. Before joining Lehman in 2001, Krekel served as president and chief executive of Hughes Space and Communications and he was president of Boeing Co.'s Satellite Systems business.

Krekel has also served as president and chief executive of the aerospace equipment systems group of Allied Signal, which is now part of Honeywell International Inc.
