The following products are being recalled because they could be contaminated with salmonella, an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children and others with weakened immune systems:

McCain Foods USA is recalling certain 24-ounce bags of McCain All American Roasters frozen potatoes. No illnesses have been reported, according to the Lisle, Ill., company. The recalled frozen potatoes were sold in grocery stores throughout the U.S. For more information, consumers can call 877-804-6198.
