Kodiak Oil & Gas Corp., a gas exploration and production company, said Friday it is replacing chief financial officer Keith Doss with former CFO James P. Henderson, effective April 1.

Kodiak said the move is part of a realignment of its financial and accounting group.

Henderson rejoins the company after two years as director of finance of Aspect Energy LLC, a privately held energy company based in Denver.

Kodiak said Doss is "evaluating different opportunities."

Henderson has been CFO of Kodiak before, beginning in 2007, before leaving for Aspect and being replaced by Doss in 2008.

Before his prior stint as CFO, Henderson was an executive at Western Gas Resources and its successor, Anadarko Petroleum Corp., for 17 years.

Kodiak has assets in the Williston Basin of North Dakota and Montana and in the Green River Basin of southwest Wyoming.
