Employees of Fujitsu Services in Britain have voted in favor of strike action in a dispute over pay, pensions and job security, the Unite union said Tuesday.

The union said 74 percent of its members backed a possible strike and 92 percent said they would support other forms of industrial action. The union has not set a strike deadline.

Some 4,000 employees are affected by Fujitsu's plans to close a final-salary pension plan, and the company is seeking to cut 1,200 jobs, Unite said.

Fujitsu Services, part of Fujitsu Ltd. of Tokyo, said it would have no comment while negotiations continue.
