Lime Wire has named John Pavley as Vice President, Engineering and Shoshana Winter as Vice President, Marketing; it was announced today by George Searle, Lime Wire CEO. Both positions report directly to Searle and are effective immediately.

As VP, Engineering, Pavley will develop and lead Lime Wire's world-class engineering team. Pavley comes to Lime Wire from Conductor, Inc., where as Chief Technology Officer, he led R&D, Development, Technical Operations, and IT for the company. Prior to Conductor, Inc., Pavley was Chief Technology Officer of ContextWeb, where he managed R&D, Development, Technical Operations, Q & A and IT with both local and offshore resources. He joined ContextWeb after a term as VP Business Systems Engineering for Yahoo! Search Marketing. At Yahoo! Search Marketing, Pavley oversaw a team of over 120 engineers responsible for building user interfaces, reporting systems, data pipelines and optimization applications. Prior to Yahoo! Search Marketing, he was VP, Ad Management Engineering at DoubleClick, where he worked closely with the executive team on technical and business strategy, acquisitions, new product ideas and customer issues. He held management positions at BitLocker, Flashpoint, Apple and Claris prior to joining DoubleClick.

Pavley holds a B.A. from Rutgers University. He lives in Cranbury, New Jersey with his wife and three children.

In the newly created position of VP, Marketing, Winter will develop and lead Lime Wire's brand strategy, marketing and public relations, and evaluate new opportunities for the company.

Winter comes to Lime Wire from Motionbox, where she was Chief Marketing Officer. There, she developed and executed brand positioning for the online personal video sharing service, helping to differentiate its market position from other online video providers. She created a multichannel acquisition program to support the subscription service and helped develop a partner marketing strategy to increase product distribution. Prior to Motionbox, Winter was SVP/GM, Marketing for Audible.com, the leading provider of subscription-based digital audio content. There, she was directly responsible for the complete rebranding, repositioning and redesigning of the content service, which resulted in quarterly double-digit subscriber growth.

Winter began her online marketing career as co-founder of sixdegrees.com, the original social networking site. In addition to her online marketing career, Winter had extensive traditional marketing experience helping build brands such as Snapple, Saratoga Spring Water, among others.

She holds a B.A. in Political Science from New York University and lives in Riverdale, New York with her husband and three children.
