A joint venture by defense contractors Raytheon Co. and Lockheed Martin Corp. said Tuesday it received a $214 million contract from the U.S. Army to produce a missile weapons system.
Javelin Joint Venture said under the contract it will produce the Javelin missile and command launch units and offer training and field support.
Shares of Raytheon rose 48 cents to $46.60 in morning trading. Shares of Lockheed Martin gained 94 cents to $75.93.
