EDS, which provides technology outsourcing, said Tuesday it has signed a multiyear service agreement with Nissan North America Inc. to help the automaker improve its technology infrastructure.
EDS, a subsidiary of Hewlett-Packard Co., also said it will provide management services for Nissan's server and storage systems, part of which will move to an EDS data center in Tulsa, Okla.
The outsourcing company said the agreement will help reduce costs for Nissan North America, the U.S. arm of Japan's Nissan Motor Co. Terms were not disclosed.
Shares of Hewlett-Packard rose 17 cents to $43.28 in morning trading. U.S.-traded shares of Nissan added 2 cents to $14.65.
