The editors of R&D Magazine thanks its readers for their well-considered nominations for this year's Scientist/Innovator/Young Innovator of Year Awards. You nominations have brought to our attention several great candidates who are now showcased on our Awards pages.

Again, we turn to you, our readers, to help us choose the candidate most worthy of our ultimate individual awards: The 44th Annual Scientist of the Year Award, the 9th Annual Innovator of the Year Award, and the 1st Annual Young Innovator of the Year Award.

According to JEOL Resonance, a new benchmark for resolution and benchmark will be set with its introduction next week of a new 0.75-mm solid state nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) probe.
