Completion date: 3Q2011.

Description: This LEED Gold-certified project provides a home for chemistry, chemical engineering, and chemical science at Caltech, with laboratories supporting chemical synthesis, chemical engineering, and biochemistry research. The design focused on providing a humane environment for current faculty while advancing recruiting efforts; the program includes a variety of interactive and social spaces to provide an inviting and welcoming atmosphere. Laboratory spaces have generous views while ensuring maximum flexibility and safety. Six faculty offices are provided, as well as office space for more than 100 postdocs and graduate students.
