Description: Teaching and research facility will be used by the Univ. of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix; the UA College of Pharmacy; the UA Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health; and the Northern Arizona Univ. College of Health and Human Services. The interdisciplinary building is pursuing LEED Silver certification, incorporating advanced daylighting techniques and other green strategies. Desert forms and regional materials characterize the design. The project won a 2010 NEXT LA Citation Award, given to on-the-boards projects by the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
