Budget: $36 million.

Size: 80,000 ft2.

Project team: Bergmann Associates, Rochester, N.Y., and Einhorn Yaffee Prescott (EYP), Boston (architecture team); contractor TBA.

Completion date: 4Q2012.

Description: Renovation work in two 40-year-old buildings will allow them to meet modern research needs. All mechanical and electrical systems will be replaced, and lab spaces will be completely redesigned. The project is being designed to meet a minimum of LEED Silver-level certification.
