NREL expansion targets solar power

NRELThe National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Golden, Colo., will spend $5.4 million in federal stimulus funding on facilities to study advanced concepts in concentrating solar power (CSP). Two new facilities will be created and a third will be improved as part of the plan, which will include field testing of new CSP technologies at the new 76-acre Solar Technology Acceleration Center in Aurora, 30 miles east of the main NREL campus.
