Dialogic Multimedia Platform for AdvancedTCA2008 R&D 100 Winner

With the explosion of the wireless market segment and the emerging deployment of 3G networks, service providers are seeking to develop features and services that take advantage of the multimedia capabilities these maturing technologies offer. Facilitating the transition from legacy networks to next-generation networks is the Dialogic Multimedia Platform for AdvancedTCA (telecommunications computing architecture), developed by Dialogic Corp., Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The Multimedia Platform for AdvancedTCA (MMP for ATCA) was created for demanding telecommunications environments such as these. It provides an all-in-one application-ready platform that supports a broad variety of multimedia applications such as voice and video mail, unified messaging, and videoconferencing over IP and PSTN interfaces in wireline and wireless environments in a standard carrier-grade form factor. MMP for ATCA provides a scalable, flexible, and expandable solution for next-generation network deployments and allows for growth and incorporation of new services. It includes hardware and runtime software and allows for a choice between running customer-provided software from a local hard drive or standard remote interfaces for media control, configuration, and management.
